Rest API

Rest API

GEO Knowledge Hub provides a Rest API to empower users and enable them to create solutions that make the use of the digital library easier for any case.

This Rest API makes available all the functionality present in the interface. This way, we do not force users to use the interface.

Rest API

By using the Rest API, users can:

Create Knowledge Packages and Resources

Manage communities

Access vocabularies

Rest API use cases

Communities created and populated using the Rest API

EO Toolkit community

e-shape community

Rest API client tools

One example of a client tool we create and use is the GEO Package Loader. This tool lets users load Knowledge Packages from the Command-Line Interface (CLI).

Next steps

  • (Soon) Members for Knowledge Packages
  • (Soon) Integrated CMS system to share on social media notifications about new Knowledge Packages
  • (Planned) DOI Minting
  • (Future) Commercial application marketplace
